Steve and Ed are two cousins bonded with a passion for cars. In 1985, at the age of 19, they opened a one bay service garage in Weymouth, MA at 1373 Washington St. They simply named it S & E Auto. With very little capital, a few hand tools, and a strong work ethic, their journey began. Their fair and honest way of doing business began to get noticed by the town, and their company began to grow. Steve and Ed decided to expand their service operation to three bays and began to buy, fix and sell a few lower-end vehicles. They soon found themselves doing more selling than repairing.
In 1993 they secured their first bank loan and began buying newer, low-milage vehicles. Steve and Ed would recondition them to close to new conditions and sell them at great prices. The inventory quickly grew from only five cars to more than fifty cars. Ed says they were the first independent dealer in the area to deal with such high-quality cars. With their new success, they moved down the street to 1255 Washington St in Weymouth and hired fifteen employees.
In 2014 the Weymouth location underwent another expansion - making way for a new state of the art sales and service facility. Now, S&E Auto stocks over two hundred pre-owned vehicles and has become a household name as one of the most reputable dealers in the country.
