This is our third vehicle purchased from S&E Auto and our third time working with Steve. We were referred by some close friends in 2009 and honestly wish we had found them sooner. Most get intimidated or overwhelmed when it comes to car buying, but Steve and S&E have made it a no brainer for us. I wanted you all to know that Johanna and I are very pleased with not only the vehicle we purchased but the service and attention we received during the process. Our experience with many other dealerships was not as pleasant. Cars were represented as "tens" over the phone, photos were sent via the internet showing gleaming vehicles but when we drove the 250 miles to view and test drive them we would find dirty cars with paint chips and paint rubs, grease stained carpets and seat backs marred with shoe marks. At one point, we agreed on a deal with one of your competitors, put down a deposit only to have the car sold to someone else before we could get to the dealership. I agree. This is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I had to downsize my vehicle due to a divorce and was not feeling very good about it. I am a woman and the car buying experience, for me, is usually a horrendous experience. Dealers talk down to you or feel you have no brain cells when you walk on the lot. I dealt with Chris the sales manager. I knew more about the vehicles on the lot than he did and he was not ashamed to tell me so. He took his time and told me I could test drive as many vehicles as I wanted. I did. He treated me with respect and there was no pressure. They offered me $3,000.00 more than any other dealer on my trade in and I purchased my vehicle at what I considered a fair price. The people here are friendly and helpful. I was a first time car buyer and they took the stress and confusion of buying a car completely out of the equation. They will work with you on your financing and throw in all kinds of awesome warrantees with the sale. They take care of all the legal stuff too (plates, inspection, registration, etc).
I was previously dealing with another dealership, and they saying is true "If you don't take care of the customer, someone else will." And that's what these folks did, they took very good care of me. To them you're not just a potential sale, you're actually a person they get to know who you are.
They own another place in Walpole, so if the car you're looking for isn't on their Weymouth lot, chances are its in Walpole.

I have been watching online for my dream car - not everyones choice but I was looking for a 2009+ BMW Z4 convertible. I had made a few inquiries online and gotten hassled by dealerships that didn't have what I wanted but were relentless.
The email from S&E Auto in response to my internet request was immediate. By the next morning, the emails from Ian were not canned but direct with answers to my questions. While Ian wasn't at the Walpole office, he hooked me up with Adam who was the manager at Walpole location.
I arrived post work and later than planned and found Adam ready to let me explore the car when most would have sent me on my way as it was getting late. They had just gotten the car and while they didn't have all of the car details in hand, with Adam's help we figured out what options it had. The car buying experience is a daunting one, but I was lucky enough to find Walpole Mitsubishi and with the help of a wonderful salesman, Adam, my car buying experience was nothing short of fantastic! I was nervous going in there of the typical sleazy salesman trying to squeeze every last penny I owned out of me (while simultaneously putting me in a car I can't afford or want!) Unfortunately this was not my first stop on my car buying adventure, so I had dealt with a number of creeps along the way! I was relieved to see upon arriving the signs around the lot stating they are a 'no hassle' dealership, so I was free to wander around and look at all the cars without anyone bothering me. I did my research before heading there and after browsing a bit I went in to see about buying a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I spent the last few weeks tearing through the internet to figure out how to buy a used car without getting totally fleeced.... or bamboozled in the finance guy's office.
The people at Boch were so friggin pushy on the phone alone that I simply couldn't do it. One morning I was surfing the TV stations hard and, lo, I found "Car Time" on channel 283 and watched Eddie sell me on the cars in his lot. He seemed good natured and had some good looking cars on the lot. So I checked out the website and finally went in to look at the car that piqued my interest.
Adam took me out for a test drive and was nice, friendly, not pushy. Then again I was pretty much immediately sold on the car upon seeing it... just gorgeous.
Jim in finance was helpful, though I ultimately got the best deal possible by calling AAA for a car loan quote.
I had a very pleasant experience here buying a car and I would return in the future. The low pressure (real!) was key!
I have bought two cars from these folks, they specialize in high end imports with low mileage. In 2002 I bought a 1999 Mercedes E430 with only 18K on it, for 30,000, a great deal. This past January, I bought a ML350 Mercedes, 2006 with 26K for only 27k~! I have used the Weymouth branch for the first car, called them when I was in line for a second, and was told they had I wanted at the Walpole location.
Let me stress that I went to the Mercedes dealership first on both occasions. I was treated rudely, incredibly so on the second occasion (that's a yelp in itself), but I knew what I wanted from checking out the multiple over priced selections. Then both times I trotted down to S & E and got a car 3-5K less than the dealership offered.

After visiting 4 other dealers, I ended up with a nicer car than I ever thought would fit in my budget...they really worked with me to make it happen.
No surprises at pick up (I learned that this is not always the case from my last car purchase at a different dealer), courteous staff...great to not have to play "defense" when buying a car.
I didn't buy any cars from them, I just needed an oil change for my eclipse. I call them up to set up an appointment for Saturday, they said they are busy until 1:30pm but I told them it's too late for me, I can only do 12pm. They said sure and fit me right into schedule. btw, they were super friendly on the phone.

I asked the guy to do a 27 point check for my car cause I had my eclipse for about 5 years and more than 40k on it, there GOT to be something needed to be change. BTW, I have had a 27 point check done before and they said I don't need anything.

I came into the dealership with a specific car in mind (2006 Volkwagen GTI). From the get go, I liked them because the car that they had in stock was already the lowest listed price for similar car features and mileage.
The dealership was a little far away coming from the Cambridge area, but it was well worth the wait.
The pre-owned car that they had was meticulously detailed and cleaned inside and out. This dealership is pretty small (2 main salespersons). After I arrived at S&E with my friend, we went straight to the car to begin our detailed inspection. John was always at an arms distance - close enough to answer our questions, yet far enough to allow us to think in peace.
